Hours from behind the wheel
Doors at Gateway Casinos Thunder Bay stay open 7 days a week, from 9 AM until 4 AM. The doors are closed from 4 AM to 9 AM. A session that starts in the evening runs past midnight, up to the 4 AM close. Arriving after 4 AM means the doors stay shut until 9 AM. A driver setting a leave-by time works back from 4 AM, not from midnight.

The E-Table Stadium is the area that holds the electronic table games; a 2024 description gave it 18 interconnected stations with craps, baccarat, roulette and blackjack. The general manager confirmed in August 2025 that electronic table games are on site, although the count of 18 stations comes from 2024. They are distinct from the live dealer tables described below.
And what about a rewards card? My Club Rewards membership is free of charge. It is set up in person at the Guest Services desk, and valid ID is needed to do it. Points go to members at both table games and slot machines.
Dealer games, food and drinks
Dealers run live table games here. A 2024 listing showed 6 live tables: Roulette, Blackjack, Ultimate Texas Hold'em and Mississippi Stud Poker. Neither the current number of tables nor their hours or minimums is published; all three can be confirmed on the casino line, 807-766-7900. The casino's description includes no poker room, and it makes no mention of bingo, keno or sports betting.
What about food between sessions? Just off the casino floor is The Getaway Restaurant and Bar, serving snacks, light meals and drinks, with sports showing on TV. The bar also offers grab-and-go food. This guide does not publish its current hours; the same line, 807-766-7900, can confirm them. The only complimentary drinks are coffee, tea and fountain pop.
